By default, your Boutique Store Builder will display any subcategories first followed by individual assigned products for each active category. Because of this default setting, if you do not have any individual products assigned to a category, you may notice a display on your site that says: "Sorry, but there are no products matching this criteria. Please try again."
If you do not have any products listed under the parent category, or you want to display only the subcategories (with no individual products under) and would prefer that the message and search bar be removed, you can edit these settings by navigating to:
Store Admin > Administration > Catalog Setup > Main Categories [drop down] > [choose] "Categories" > [click] "Update Variables" to save your changes.
