Cancelling Paypal Subscriptions

You are responsible for managing your own paypal automatic payments, withdraws, and subscriptions payments. Refunds are not automatically issued on accounts that fail to timely cancel their paypal subscription(s). If you cancel your hosting account, you must also cancel your automatic billing! NOTE: If your subscription is processed following a valid cancellation request being received or immediately before, a refund will be issued when the cancellation is processed.

Your automatic paypal subscription payments may continue even after you have cancelled your hosting account, because the automatic subscription is an agreement between yourself and paypal to make reoccuring payments easier to manage. Paypal sets up their subscriptions to pay out the same amount on the same day, whether you have been invoiced, or not. This is a paypal setting that we can not control.

However, you can manage and/or cancel your own subscriptions by doing the following:

From Paypal:

  •     Log in to your PayPal account.
  •     Click Profile near the top of the page.
  •     Click My Preapproved Payments in the Financial Information column. (Don’t see this step? Follow the instructions below.)
  •     Click View the Agreement next to the merchant agreement you want to cancel.
  •     Click Cancel or Cancel automatic billing and follow the instructions.


Or

  •     Log in to your PayPal account.
  •     Click Profile near the top of the page.
  •     Click My money.
  •     Click Update in the My preapproved payments section.
  •     Click Cancel or Cancel automatic billing and follow the instructions.
